Dahlia Tubers

Update: May 31: Our Dahlia Tuber shop is now closed, and everything is planted.

Update April 1: The final inventory has been updated, and all sold-out tubers have been removed to make viewing easier.  All tubers are priced the same, at $12. Other growers have some of these tubers for upwards of $20, so you will find some great deals. All tubers have eyes, and many have started to root and sprout. Tubers are ready to pot up if you want to get a head start on this year's growing season.  Please read below for pick-up and/or shipping information.

Update March 15: Following our February pre-sale, all tubers have been marked sold out while I update the inventory. I need to make sure I have enough tubers to plant out for the season. All remaining tubers will be listed by April 1 at the latest. Tubers are looking great, and all have eyes starting to show nicely. I'm happy to report that my winter storage worked very well. 

Dahlia Tuber Pre-Sale starts February 10, 2026

Bow River Blooms' Dahlias are sold as a single tuber (sometimes they are a small clump) with at least one verified eye. Most have multiple, marked eyes. All have been grown in BRB gardens for 5 or more seasons while I built up my stock.

Sanitation
Careful sanitation protocols are followed while dividing tubers. Cutting tools are sanitized between clumps. Clumps are also visually inspected for signs of leafy and crown gall. However, disease and sickness may take several years to manifest, so it is impossible to determine where or when a dahlia may become infected. I will not knowingly sell something that is not visually healthy. I do not test for virus.

Shipping
Shipping is a flat rate, within Canada, of $20. 10-15 tubers should comfortably fit inside each box. Shipping within Canada only.

Shipping is expected to start around April 15, but it will be adjusted if the weather is unfavorable. Customers will be notified by email regarding any changes.

Pick Up
Locals may pick up on Saturday mornings if desired, beginning March 29. Please email me to request this: bowriverblooms@gmail.com, and remember to include your order number. Earlier pick-up can be arranged if you'd like to start your tubers earlier.
